Ingrid van Dingstee started her violin studies with Davina van Wely and Jan Repko and continued her studies at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam with Viktor Liberman, Keiko Wataya and Alexander Kerr. She obtained her first degree cum laude in 1998 and her Soloist Diploma in June 2000, cum laude as well.
In 1993 she won first prize in the Davina van Wely Competition in The Hague . She participated in the 1995, 1996 and 2000 Keshet Eilon International Master Courses in Israel and in 1998 and 1999 in the International Holland Music Sessions. She took master courses with Herman Krebbers, Boris Belkin, Ida Haendel and Haim Taub. Ingrid van Dingstee is a regular performer, both as a soloist and with orchestras.
From 1995 to 1997 she was leader of the Dutch National Youth Orchestra. She regularly plays in several Dutch orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 2001 she is 1st violinist of the Amsterdam Sinfonietta. Besides, for ten years, Ingrid has been violin teacher on a regular base.
Ingrid van Dingstee plays a Nicola Gagliano ( Napoli, 1739) violin, on loan from the Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds.
