Stringquartet;
“A view behind the scenes”
In this evening filling lecture the audience is introduced in the “secrets” of playing stringquartet, the rehearsal process, the cooperation of the four musicians on and behind the stage and different aspects of the elaborate repertoire.
This will be illustrated by examples from the stringquartet repertoire –of course live performed.
The Van Dingstee Quartet shows how a composition can be approached and performed in different ways. The audience will be involved in the problems and challenges a stringquartet faces. There is also a chance for the audience to ask questions about all aspects of stringquartet playing.
With this view behind the scenes the Van Dingstee Quartet wishes to share with the audience their passion for this ultimate form of chambermusic.
